For some new moms breastfeeding is a smooth transition, but for many it can be more challenging. Our team collectively brings thousands of hours of personal and professional expertise about lactation and the issues surrounding breastfeeding.

We believe that successful breastfeeding is an essential part of your newborn's development and it is our primary goal to support you during this process.

Meet Andrea

Andrea Herron is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has been working with children and families since 1968. She is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. She has a Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization in newborn and infant feeding disorders and infant development. She was on the UCLA Extension faculty and taught in the Lactation Educator and Consultant Programs. Andrea has had a solo practice specializing in parenting and lactation since 1982.

She has also co-authored the book, SLEEP, SUCKLE, THRIVE: Breastfeeding Success through Understanding Your Baby's Cues and Unique Temperament, which you can buy on Amazon!

When you call Growing With Baby either Trisha or Carrie will greet you and help triage all your breastfeeding questions and concerns.

Trisha

Trisha has been employed by Growing With Baby for eight years. She is our medical billing expert and has learned all the tricks of the trade regarding lactation billing. She will do her best to help you negotiate with your insurance. When Trisha gives you breastfeeding advice you can be reassured that it is accurate. She is a certified lactation educator and has both personal and professional experience with breastfeeding. Trisha lives in San Luis Obispo with her husband and two healthy, athletic teenage boys.

Carrie

Carrie has been employed by Growing With Baby for over 8 years and is an internationally certified lactation consultant. She has her degree in nutrition from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She has been answering parents breastfeeding concerns for many years and successfully nursed her three children. Carrie can help start you on your road to breastfeeding success.
